"I grew up in Lima, Ohio and first felt a calling to ministry while going through confirmation in my local United Methodist Church. I ran from that calling for a little while because I didn't think there was any way I could get up and preach a sermon every Sunday. Finally, while in college at Ohio State, I did a summer internship at a United Methodist Church in Athens, Ohio. It was then that I realized I couldn't imagine doing anything else with my life except pastoring. I graduated Ohio State and went to Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Ky where I met my husband Jesse. We have been married almost 11 years and have two energenic young girls. I served as the pastor of Highlands United Methodist Church in Jacksonville for six years and was appointed here to Community United Methodist Church in 2022. I'm passionate about preaching and enjoy helping people understand and make sense of what is in the written word. I love seeing people transformed by the grace of God and into the person that God is uniquely calling them to be. I love that our church is passionate about serving those in our community through our Outreach Ministries. In my spare time, I love traveling with my family, reading, and spending time at the beach. I always am uplifted when I see my parishoners on Sundays and I get particulary excited when I can welcome new people into the Community United Methodist Church family."
